    Senior Paralegal

    Location: Knoxville, TN

    Duration: 9 months, Onsite

    Day-to-day Responsibilities:

    • Work under minimal supervision to develop legal products and conduct moderately complex legal research.
    • Support investigations and litigation by gathering information from various sources.
    • Organize and prepare legal documents such as complaints, motions, and subpoenas.
    • Assist attorneys with pre-litigation investigations including witness interviews and data analysis.
    • Analyze healthcare billing and treatment records for legal use.
    • Utilize Microsoft Excel for managing large data sets.
    • Maintain case files using eDiscovery platforms like Relativity and Everlaw.
    • Draft legal documents and correspondence from templates, ensuring compliance with style and format rules.
    • Provide litigation and trial support by compiling case materials and coordinating with specialists.
    • Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw and LexisNexis, ensuring accuracy in citations.
    • Perform clerical and administrative tasks including file management and case tracking.
    • Support automated litigation processes with technology tools for creating visual materials.

    Required Skills:

    • Minimum of two years of litigation paralegal experience.
    • At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
    • Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research resources.
    • Excellent communication skills and proficiency with legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
    • Familiarity with computer applications such as word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
    • Understanding of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
    • Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.

    Education:

    • Paralegal certificate, JD, or equivalent legal training or education.
