Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Employment Legal Paralegal/Case Manager to support our Employment Legal team. This role involves case management, litigation support, compliance assistance, and project management. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate across HR, IT, and Employee Relations.

Responsibilities:
Team & Process Support:
  • Build and improve foundational systems, processes, and workflows for the Employment Legal team.
  • Create standardized processes, automated workflows, and documentation management systems.
Administrative Support:
  • Draft, review, and format legal documents, correspondence, and presentations.
  • Manage employment intakes and conduct initial reviews for completeness.
  • Respond to partnership intake requests and manage response expectations.
  • Maintain organized records and files in Google Drive.
  • Schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings.
  • Manage invoices from outside counsel and vendors.
  • Support the development and implementation of legal procedures.
Litigation Management:
  • Maintain electronic and physical files for litigation, arbitration, agency charges (EEOC, DFEH, DOL), and investigations.
  • Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and calendars for active cases.
  • Assist with discovery, including collection, review, and production of documents.
  • Prepare legal pleadings, motions, and filings.
  • Liaise with outside counsel to ensure compliance with company policies.
Compliance & Investigations:
  • Support internal investigations by organizing documents and scheduling interviews.
  • Assist with compliance initiatives related to employment law.
  • Help develop training materials and resources for HR and managers.
Project Management:
  • Develop and manage project plans for high-priority legal projects.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and resolve project gaps.
  • Build relationships and influence stakeholders to drive progress.
  • Ensure project goals are met and conduct retrospectives to capture lessons learned.

Requirements (Must Have):
  • 5 7 years of in-house employment paralegal or case manager experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Google Drive / G-Suite.
  • Familiarity with case management and eDiscovery tools (e.g., Exterro).
  • Experience with billing and invoice management systems.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with litigation holds, discovery, and document production.
  • Data tracking and analytics for litigation/employment matters.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
