JOB PURPOSE:
The Senior Paid Social Specialist – LinkedIn Contractor will support the planning, execution, optimization, and reporting of global paid social activity, with an initial focus on LinkedIn. This role will partner closely with the Senior Manager Social Media, internal marketing stakeholders, and the organization's external agency partner, to ensure paid social campaigns are delivered efficiently, measured consistently, and optimized against business and campaign objectives.
 
The contractor will bring deep hands-on LinkedIn campaign expertise, strong agency-management experience, and a performance-marketing mindset to help improve campaign quality, media effectiveness, audience targeting, creative testing, lead generation, and reporting across paid global social programs.
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Global Paid Social Campaign Management
  • Manage the day-to-day execution and optimization of global paid social campaigns, with a primary focus on LinkedIn.
  • Partner with the Senior Manager Social Media to translate campaign objectives into paid social activation plans, including audience strategy, campaign structure, targeting, creative rotation, and optimization approach. Budget monitorization in partnership with the External agency
  • Partner with the External agency to support global campaign launches across priority business areas, ensuring campaign setup, naming conventions, tracking, approvals, pacing, and performance reviews are managed consistently.
  • Monitor live campaign performance and recommend adjustments to budget, bids, audiences, placements, creative, and messaging to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
2. LinkedIn Platform Expertise
  • Serve as the internal paid social subject matter expert for LinkedIn campaign activation and optimization.
  • Partner with Senior Manager social media to provide hands-on guidance / recommendations to the External agency across LinkedIn Campaign Manager, including campaign objectives, audience segmentation, matched audiences, lead generation forms, event ads, thought leadership ads, document ads, sponsored content, sponsored messaging, and conversion tracking.
  • Advise on best-practice campaign architecture for brand awareness, engagement, demand generation, lead generation, and nurture objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign setup, targeting precision, creative testing, and performance measurement across LinkedIn activity.
3. Agency Partnership & External Partner Management
  • Partner closely with the external agency partner, to manage global paid social activity from brief through execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Review agency recommendations, media plans, audience strategies, campaign builds, pacing reports, and optimization proposals to ensure alignment with organization goals and standards.
  • Act as a key day-to-day contact between internal stakeholders and Media Agency for paid social campaign execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, feedback, and approvals are clearly managed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve briefing quality, workflow efficiency, campaign governance, and performance accountability with the external agency team.
4. Campaign Planning, Briefing & Stakeholder Coordination
  • Collaborate with social media, digital media, campaign, segment, content, creative, compliance, analytics, and regional marketing teams to support paid social activation.
  • Translate stakeholder objectives into clear paid social briefs, including target audiences, campaign goals, messaging priorities, creative requirements, landing page needs, measurement approach, and reporting expectations.
  • Ensure paid social plans are aligned with broader marketing campaigns, organic social activity, web experiences, email programs, and lead generation workflows.
  • Support stakeholder communication by providing clear updates on campaign status, performance, risks, decisions, and recommended next steps.
5. Performance Optimization & Test-and-Learn
  • Develop and manage structured test-and-learn plans across LinkedIn and other paid social channels where relevant.
  • Recommend and execute tests across audience segments, creative formats, messaging, bidding approaches, campaign objectives, lead forms, landing pages, and calls to action.
  • Analyze test results and translate findings into clear recommendations that can improve future campaign performance.
  • Help build a repeatable approach to paid social experimentation, ensuring learnings are documented and shared across relevant teams.
6. Reporting, Insights & Measurement
  • Monitor paid social performance and provide regular reporting on campaign delivery, engagement, conversion, lead generation, cost efficiency, and business impact.
  • Partner with analytics and digital media teams to ensure consistent tagging, tracking, dashboard inputs, and campaign measurement.
  • Translate platform and agency reporting into clear, actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Identify performance trends, optimization opportunities, audience learnings, creative insights, and recommendations for future paid social campaigns.
7. Governance, Compliance & Quality Control
  • Ensure paid social activity follows internal review, compliance, brand, legal, and data privacy requirements.
  • Support quality control across campaign setup, copy, creative, targeting, URLs, UTMs, lead forms, approval status, launch readiness, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Help maintain documentation for campaign structures, naming conventions, reporting standards, optimization decisions, and performance learnings.
  • Escalate risks, blockers, or campaign issues quickly and provide practical recommendations for resolution.
8. Paid Social Best Practices & Capability Building
  • Bring external paid social expertise into the organization by sharing platform updates, LinkedIn best practices, competitive observations, and emerging opportunities.
  • Support the development of internal paid social playbooks, briefing templates, reporting frameworks, and optimization standards.
  •  Help the Senior Manager Social Media strengthen paid social governance, execution quality, and global consistency across markets and campaigns.
 
REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years of experience in paid social, digital media, performance marketing, or social media activation, preferably within financial services, asset management, B2B marketing, or another regulated industry.
  • Deep hands-on expertise using LinkedIn Campaign Manager to plan, launch, optimize, and report on paid social campaigns and Sprinklr social platforms.
  • Good understanding of broader social platform (Reddit), X, Facebook and applicable opportunities to supplement corporate social strategy
  • Strong understanding of LinkedIn advertising formats, including sponsored content, document ads, lead generation forms, event ads, thought leadership ads, video, carousel, conversation ads, and matched audiences.
  • Proven experience managing complex paid social campaigns across multiple markets, business lines, stakeholders, or audience segments.
  • Strong agency-management experience, including reviewing media plans, challenging recommendations, managing deliverables, and holding partners accountable for performance.
  • Experience developing paid social briefs, campaign plans, audience strategies, test plans, optimization recommendations, and performance summaries.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data and turn results into practical recommendations.
  • Understanding of paid social measurement, including impressions, reach, engagement rate, CTR, CPC, CPM, CPL, conversion rate, lead quality, pacing, and ROI-related indicators.
  • Experience working with campaign tracking, UTM structures, conversion tags, pixels, lead forms, and reporting dashboards.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, approvals, and stakeholders at once.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex campaign performance into clear insights and actions.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control, particularly around campaign setup, copy, creative, compliance, tracking, and reporting accuracy.
  • Strong collaborator staying closely aligned with internal teams, agency partners, and campaign stakeholders whilst comfortable working independently.
 
PREFERRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in asset management, wealth management, institutional marketing, financial services, or another highly regulated sector.
  • Experience supporting global marketing campaigns across multiple regions, languages, audience types, or regulatory environments.
  • Experience working with external media agencies, creative agencies, analytics teams, and internal compliance partners.
  • Familiarity with paid media reporting tools such as Tableau, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager reporting, or similar dashboard environments.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM integration, lead generation workflows, or campaign handoff processes.
  • Knowledge of B2B audience targeting, including financial advisers, institutional investors, consultants, intermediaries, retirement audiences, or professional services segments.
  • Experience building paid social playbooks, campaign governance frameworks, testing roadmaps, or reporting templates.
  • Experience with other paid social platforms, such as Meta, X, YouTube, Reddit, or programmatic social extensions, is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience briefing or evaluating social-first creative, including short-form video, document ads, thought leadership content, carousel formats, and lead generation assets.
  • LinkedIn Marketing Solutions certification, digital marketing certification, or equivalent practical platform experience preferred.
