    Job Summary

    We are seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead end-to-end packaging engineering projects supporting Vehicle and Energy Product platforms. The role focuses on designing and developing protective packaging, returnable containers, dunnage, and shipping racks while collaborating closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, NPI, Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics teams. The ideal candidate will have strong CAD, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, packaging validation, materials, and manufacturing-process expertise.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead end-to-end packaging engineering projects for Vehicle and Energy platforms.
    • Develop protective containers, dunnage, returnable packaging, and shipping racks for domestic and international transportation.
    • Gather and translate packaging requirements with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, NPI, and Operations teams.
    • Partner with Supply Chain and Logistics to optimize part delivery, quality, and manufacturability.
    • Create and review CAD models, technical drawings, datum structures, GD&T, and tolerance stack-ups.
    • Evaluate packaging designs based on manufacturing feasibility, part protection, cost, and logistics efficiency.
    • Support packaging testing and validation activities.
    • Drive conversion from expendable to returnable packaging and sustainability initiatives.
    • Track packaging KPIs, project risks, budgets, schedules, and engineering changes.
    • Support vendor selection, supplier coordination, and vendor management.
    • Develop and improve standardized packaging designs and engineering standards.
    • Manage multiple projects while maintaining technical quality and execution speed.
    • Travel up to 30% as required.
