    Senior Oracle Database Administrator

    Location: Richmond, VA (Hybrid)

    Duration: 6 months

    Seeking for an Senior Oracle Database Administrator to administer, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments. The role requires strong experience with Oracle 19c/26ai, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and Linux, along with hands-on experience migrating on-premises Oracle databases to OCI.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer and support Oracle 19c and newer database environments.
    • Support Oracle databases in both OCI and on-premises environments.
    • Plan and execute Oracle database migrations from on-premises environments to OCI.
    • Administer and troubleshoot Oracle RAC and ASM on Linux.
    • Configure and maintain Oracle Data Guard Physical Standby environments.
    • Manage RMAN backup, restore, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
    • Perform database performance tuning, capacity management, security, and patching.
    • Utilize Oracle Data Pump and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
    • Troubleshoot complex production database and ERP-related issues.
    • Maintain database procedures, standards, and technical documentation.

    Qualifications:

    • 7–10+ years of Oracle DBA experience, with strong experience in Oracle 19c and exposure to Oracle 26ai.
    • Hands-on experience with OCI and Oracle database migrations to OCI.
    • Strong experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
    • Experience with Oracle Data Pump, OEM, performance tuning, security, and patching.
    • Experience supporting Oracle databases on Linux/Unix.
    • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is highly preferred.
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer is a plus.
