What You Will Be Doing:
Accomplish operations goals with respect to safety, customer delivery, productivity, quality, material and equipment utilization. Provide directions and ensure that team members are following all processes, procedures, and protocols within specifications. Administer disciplinary documentation and procedures as necessary. Manage daily inventory including raw materials to ensure adequate supply for production. Recognize employees for jobs well done; motivate team. Assist in recruiting and selecting employees to ensure proper staffing levels. Present production related metrics in group meetings. Review production schedules and take necessary action to ensure proper staffing. Maintain all safety and housekeeping requirements and ISO quality standards. Timely report and investigate all accidents and incidents. Maintain all employee time tracking including holidays, unpaid time, absences, and paid time off. Coordinate the daily activities of the department ensuring maximum efficiency by maximizing utilization of labor, equipment capacity, materials, and plant resources. Ensure the team is trained by assessing team members training needs and completing required training in a timely manner. Identify and manage department staffing needs including overtime management. Establish and maintain strong relationships with other Cormetech departments. Provide recommendations for OA performance reviews. Review OA performance and pay for performance certifications. Assign duties and follow up to ensure completion. Facilitate shift/department meetings. Startup equipment and shut down when a safety concern arises that merits the shutdown. Other duties as assigned. Special projects as assigned.
