This role is responsible for the day-to-day stability, availability, and sustainment of mission-critical systems operating within a secure SCIF environment. The position focuses on hands-on Operations & Maintenance (O&M), ensuring infrastructure reliability, rapid issue resolution, and compliance with operational baselines.
Provide Echelon 1 Operations & Maintenance support for secure mission platforms
Administer and maintain Linux systems, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux
Support and operate VMware virtualization environments, including vCenter and ESXi hosts
Perform hardware-level troubleshooting across servers, networking components, and storage systems
Manage system baselines, execute patching cycles, and support defect identification and tracking
Administer directory services, including LDAP, within secure enterprise environments
Monitor system health and availability using enterprise monitoring tools
Support storage and network services such as SAN/NAS, NFS, and DNS
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to ensure system stability and compliance within the SCIF
Strong experience in Linux system administration, specifically RHEL and/or Oracle Linux
Hands-on experience supporting VMware infrastructure, including vCenter and ESXi
Experience administering LDAP or comparable directory services
Proven ability to perform hardware troubleshooting across compute, network, and storage platforms
Experience with baseline configuration management, patching, and defect tracking in operational environments
Preferred / Additional Experience
Scripting experience using Bash
Familiarity with Dell and Cisco hardware platforms
Experience supporting SAN/NAS storage, NFS, and DNS services
Exposure to system monitoring tools such as Nagios
Working knowledge of Windows-based systems
Security & Clearance
Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly, required on day one
