Senior Operations / Project Manager

Location: Buford, GA
Salary: $70,000 $100,000, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Office-Based with Regular Travel
Travel: Approximately every other week

TRC Talent Solutions is partnering with a growing client in the Buford, GA area to hire a Senior Operations / Project Manager to oversee field installation projects and a team of traveling technicians.

This is a hands-on project management role for someone who can keep people, projects, travel logistics, schedules, and customer expectations moving at the same time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing projects both from the office and in the field.

Experience within signage, fabrication, installation, construction, field services, or a similar project-based environment is highly desirable.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage projects from initial planning through installation and completion.

  • Coordinate and oversee a team of traveling field technicians/installers.

  • Schedule technicians based on project timelines, locations, and customer needs.

  • Coordinate employee travel, including flights, hotels, transportation, and travel itineraries.

  • Travel to project sites approximately every other week to monitor installations and project progress.

  • Ensure installations are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and according to project specifications.

  • Serve as a key point of contact between field technicians, customers, vendors, and internal teams.

  • Monitor multiple active projects and quickly address scheduling, installation, material, or logistical issues.

  • Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to ensure signage and materials are completed and ready for installation.

  • Track project schedules, documentation, expenses, changes, and completion requirements.

  • Handle administrative responsibilities associated with project execution and field operations.

  • Provide regular project updates to leadership and communicate potential delays or concerns.

  • Troubleshoot problems in real time and keep projects moving when plans change.

  • Maintain strong organization and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

What We're Looking For

  • Mid-level to senior experience in project management, operations management, field services, installation management, construction, signage, fabrication, or a related industry.

  • Previous experience managing or coordinating field technicians, installers, subcontractors, or traveling teams.

  • Strong project coordination and scheduling experience.

  • Comfortable arranging and managing frequent employee travel.

  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately every other week.

  • Strong administrative and documentation skills.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to manage several projects, deadlines, and moving parts at once.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving situations.

  • Experience working with fabrication, signage, installation, or custom-built products is a strong plus.

  • Comfortable working in both office and field/site environments.

  • Flexible and willing to adjust schedules when project or installation needs change.
