We're seeking a Senior Operations Manager in Honolulu, Hawaii to lead construction operations and project management teams, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability across all divisions.
Impact
- Drive consistent project delivery and financial performance across multi-trade mechanical operations
- Develop and mentor project managers to strengthen the organization's leadership pipeline
- Standardize construction delivery processes to improve quality and reduce risk company-wide
- Strengthen client relationships and support business development efforts
Responsibilities
- Oversee project managers and serve as a key point of contact for project teams across all divisions
- Train and mentor project managers in constructability, buyout, forecasting, and change management
- Support project teams in managing contract scope, terms, and client expectations
- Lead project fiscal management including forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
- Identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Oversee procurement of major equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Conduct periodic jobsite walks to confirm field progress and alignment with schedules and quality goals
- Collaborate with preconstruction, business development, and leadership to identify new opportunities
- Participate in quality control reviews and standardization of BIM and fabrication processes
- Promote company safety culture and ensure compliance standards are met across all projects
Requirements
Must-Haves
- 10+ years of experience in commercial mechanical construction with progressive operations leadership
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and fire protection systems
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients, subcontractors, and staff
- Sound financial literacy in project forecasting and cost management
- Stable work history demonstrating leadership growth and accountability
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with federal contracting standards including FAR, USACE, and NAVFAC
- Familiarity with labor compliance, union operations, and resource allocation
- Proficiency with ERP systems and project management software
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
