Senior Operations Data Analyst

Summary:

• Location: Oakland, CA
• Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

• Manage complex data analysis, dashboard, automation, and Power Apps development projects with limited supervision, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Canvas and Model-Driven Power Apps to improve operational efficiency, user experience, and compliance tracking.
• Build intuitive, user-centered Power Apps with clear navigation, effective screen design, and role-based experiences.
• Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint Online, Dataverse, Power Automate, Microsoft 365, Teams, Outlook, Excel, SQL databases, APIs, Power BI, and other enterprise data sources.
• Apply Power Apps governance, solution lifecycle management, documentation, testing, and support practices.
• Design analyses, reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data models to achieve business objectives.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, executive reporting solutions, operational reports, compliance reports, and KPI scorecards.
• Create advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and statistical calculations.
• Design and maintain Power Automate workflows that automate approvals, notifications, and other business activities.
• Manage complex data extracts, list pulls, data transfers, and data integration activities.
• Create automated data routines, ETL/ELT processes, Power Query transformations, and reporting refresh processes.
• Implement row-level security, data governance controls, and reporting standards.
• Gather and document business requirements, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and provide user training and documentation.
• Develop and communicate clear, concise, and actionable analyses, findings, and recommendations.
• Identify opportunities for Power Apps development, automation, analytics, data quality improvements, and process optimization.

Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, operations analytics, database management, automation, Power Apps development, or application development.
• Experience designing, building, deploying, and supporting Canvas or Model-Driven Power Apps in a business or enterprise environment.
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards, enterprise reporting solutions, data models, or KPI scorecards.
• Experience using Microsoft Power Platform technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 is strongly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced data analysis, data processing, data visualization, and reporting skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills, including complex formulas, graphing, VBA, data manipulation, and reporting automation.
• Advanced skill writing SQL queries using Oracle, Business Objects, SQL Server, or related database technologies.
• Proficiency with Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
• Familiarity with Power Platform governance, application lifecycle management, and maintainability practices.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes, REST APIs, data warehousing, and data governance.
• Knowledge of UNIX shell programming, base-SAS, Visual Basic, Perl, C, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or other data platforms is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently prioritize work and manage multiple projects.
