Senior Operations Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Operations Consultant with established consulting-firm experience across operations improvement and procurement. This role is especially suited for a consultant who has already incorporated AI into client work and can demonstrate how AI-enabled tools have improved analysis, decision-making, implementation, or operational results.

Candidates must have experience working for an established operations-focused consulting firm and delivering both operational improvement and procurement or strategic sourcing projects.

This is a remote position requiring reasonable access to a major airport. During active engagements, travel typically begins Sunday evening or Monday morning, with consultants returning Thursday evening and working remotely Friday.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operations and procurement improvement engagements at client locations

• Analyze manufacturing, plant, warehouse, supply chain, equipment, and sourcing performance

• Use AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities, accelerate analysis, solve operational problems, and support implementation

• Develop actionable recommendations supported by operational and financial analysis

• Work directly with client leaders and frontline teams to implement improvements

• Manage project workstreams, deliverables, timelines, and measurable results

Requirements

• Recent experience with an established operations-focused management consulting firm

• Demonstrated procurement or strategic sourcing consulting experience

• Hands-on operations improvement experience within manufacturing, supply chain, plant, warehouse, or distribution environments

• Proven examples of applying AI to consulting engagements, operational analysis, or business improvement initiatives

• Strong analytical, client-facing, and implementation skills

• Ability to travel approximately 80% during active projects

• Corporate-only, GPO, contract, or independent consulting experience does not meet the consulting background required for this role

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
