    Senior Offshore Electromechanical Support Engineer

    Every hour an AUV, ROV, or propulsion system is offline can jeopardize a mission. As our senior field authority, you’ll ensure subsea thrusters, actuators, and marine propulsion systems stay mission‑ready—restoring performance fast, elevating customer capability, and channeling real‑world insights back into stronger designs.

    Your mission

    Champion reliability at the edge: on decks, in shipyards, and at test facilities around the world—about 50% of your time will be on the road or at sea.

    Impact areas

    • Critical Response: Lead on‑site diagnostics spanning electrical, software, mechanical, and system interactions; implement corrective actions and upgrades that stick.
    • Customer Enablement: Build self‑sufficiency through hands‑on training—operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
    • Technical Rigor: Read and apply schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and specifications; produce crisp, comprehensive service reports.
    • Controls & Power: Configure and debug BLDC motor controllers/servo drives, power electronics, sensors, and embedded systems using laptops, software tools, and communication interfaces.
    • Instrumentation: Isolate faults with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bench power supplies; verify fixes and performance.
    • Continuous Improvement: Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Service on teardowns, failure analysis, corrective actions, and design-for-serviceability initiatives.
    • Knowledge Systems: Evolve service manuals, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and training materials to reflect best practices.

    What you’ll need to excel

    • 8–10 years supporting and repairing complex electromechanical systems.
    • Proven ability to troubleshoot to the component and subsystem level.
    • Experience with diagnostic software and computer‑based control interfaces.
    • Fluent in reading electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical specs.
    • Strong technical writing and structured reporting.
    • Independent, customer‑focused work style with minimal supervision.
    • Valid passport (or ability to obtain) and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally approximately half the time.

    Technical depth

    • Electrical troubleshooting; DC power systems
    • Brushless DC motors; motor controllers/servo drives
    • Embedded systems; power electronics
    • Sensors and instrumentation
    • Wiring/harnessing; industrial connectors

    Preferred experience

    • Subsea/marine propulsion, ROV/AUV, underwater robotics, defense, or oceanographic equipment exposure.
    • Military electronics, naval engineering, or marine technical background.
    • Mission‑critical field support; pressure‑compensated subsea equipment familiarity.
    • Customer training leadership; participation in root‑cause and reliability initiatives.
    • IPC certification or knowledge of electronic assembly workmanship standards.
