Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Network Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and certifying network hardware to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the organization's network infrastructure. Responsibilities:

  • Test and certify network hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Python and Ansible.
  • Design, test, automate, and operate modern enterprise and cloud-native network infrastructures at scale.
  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments, CVE analysis, and network risk evaluations.
  • Perform lab testing and certifications for various network hardware, including routers and switches.
  • Rapidly certify patches, SMUs, and codes, focusing on risk and CVE-driven events.
  • Ensure interoperability with network appliances like firewalls and load balancers.
  • Utilize tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and Git for network analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and design testing strategies for network hardware and software.
  • Document and present testing results and recommendations to wider teams.
  • Collaborate with vendors to research and evaluate new products and features.
  • Create and update engineering standards and configuration templates.
  • Provide guidance to teams on platforms and designs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate testing and PoC evaluations.

Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in LAN/WAN network design, engineering, and code/feature certification.
  • CCIE or CCNP level experience.
  • Proficiency in protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IGMP, and PIM.
  • Experience with Cisco platforms like Catalyst and Nexus.
  • Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes architecture and container networking (CNI).
  • Experience with eBPF-based networking and security platforms like Cilium.
  • Proficiency in Python, GitHub, and Ansible playbooks.
  • Experience with Arista platforms and tools like IXIA or Spirent.
  • Strong knowledge of IP routing, BGP, OSPF, and layer 2 protocols like Spanning-tree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a global testing team environment.
  • Strong logical, analytical, and time management skills.
