Client is seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to support network operations, firewall administration, secure remote-access solutions, and infrastructure security activities for a distributed enterprise environment. Client is seeking a Senior Network & Security Engineer to support network operations, firewall administration, secure remote-access solutions, and infrastructure security activities for a distributed enterprise environment. The role requires strong customer-facing communication skills, the ability to operate independently, and experience working in transition and transformation programs. A strong documentation and process improvement mindset is also essential.
 
Basic Qualifications:
7 years of Network and Security Operations experience.
 
Required Skills:

• Strong SonicWall administration experience.
• Firewall policy management and troubleshooting.
• TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP.
• VPN and remote access technologies.
• Network monitoring and diagnostics.
• Incident response and operational security support.
• Microsoft infrastructure security fundamentals.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• CISSP, CISA, GIAC, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
• Zero Trust access solutions experience.
• Network Access Control (NAC) experience.
• Microsoft Security technologies.
• Experience supporting geographically distributed environments.
• Healthcare or insurance industry experience.

 
Role and responsibilities:

• Administer and support SonicWall firewalls.
• Implement and troubleshoot firewall rule changes.
• Manage network connectivity across multiple locations.
• Perform network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Support secure remote access solutions.
• Review and implement security-related configuration changes.
• Assist with privileged administrative activities.
• Support network and security operational incidents.
• Participate in infrastructure transition and stabilization activities.
• Create and maintain network and security documentation.
• Work with customer security and infrastructure teams to improve operational maturity.
