Requirements
- 5 or years of experience in enterprise network engineering and network security infrastructure administration.
- Proficiency in Palo Alto and Checkpoint Next-Generation Firewalls alongside GlobalProtect VPN deployment.
- Experience with implementing and maintaining technical security controls strictly aligned with NIST standards.
- Experience in architecting network segmentation strategies, LAN/WAN routing, switching, and access controls.
- Experience with securing cloud network infrastructure, monitoring traffic, and configuring perimeter security policies.
- Experience in utilizing schematic diagramming software to map network topologies and documenting incident remediations.
- Excellent communication skills to lead cross-functional technical teams, manage risk assessments, and brief leadership.
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and administer enterprise Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewall rule policies and migrations.
- Design and implement secure network architectures, access controls, micro-segmentation boundaries, and VPNs.
- Configure cloud network perimeters, manage firewall security groups, and monitor hybrid network traffic flows.
- Investigate and remediate critical network and cybersecurity incidents utilizing packet analysis and logging tools.
- Conduct security risk assessments and develop technical remediation strategies aligned with NIST frameworks.
- Monitor network telemetry metrics and alert systems to identify performance anomalies and capacity constraints.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, network topology diagrams, and disaster recovery procedures.
