Description
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Network Operations/Engineer in Santa Clara, CA.
Reason for Position:
- New, urgent need driven by increased workload and upcoming projects
- Provide day-to-day network support and relieve the existing team
- Support the larger campus network refresh as needed
- ASAP start
- Support a 5-building enterprise network environment in Santa Clara
- Primarily Cisco, with Catalyst on the campus and Nexus in the data center
- Maintain the current environment while a larger campus network refresh is designed and implemented
- Hands-on network administration and operations
- Support and troubleshoot the Cisco network environment
- Troubleshoot routing, switching and broader network-stack issues
- Support Cisco Catalyst campus infrastructure and Cisco Nexus data center infrastructure
- Remotely support data center switches and resolve production network issues
- Maintain network availability and assist with campus refresh activities as needed
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of enterprise network engineering/administration experience
- Strong Cisco background
- Hands-on experience with: Cisco Catalyst; Cisco Nexus; Enterprise routing & switching; Network troubleshooting; Campus networking; Data center networking
- Experience supporting large enterprise/campus environments
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve network issues
- Must be comfortable in a hands-on Network Ops/Engineering role
- CCIE and/or CCNP
- Large, multi-building campus experience
- Wireless/Wi-Fi experience
- Network refresh or modernization experience
- Exposure to Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper or Arista
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
