Senior Network Engineer - Remote Opportunity

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a contract position with a Leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager located in Eagan, MN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

​Pay range: $76.82 - $79.20 per hour

We are seeking a well-rounded Senior Network Engineer to support a diverse enterprise network environment spanning on-premises, perimeter, and public cloud infrastructure. This role requires strong networking fundamentals, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and experience working across multiple network technologies. The ideal candidate is technically strong, collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a team environment where knowledge sharing and collective ownership are important.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, data center, perimeter, and cloud network infrastructure
• Support complex routing and switching environments, including BGP and OSPF
• Support data center networking technologies including Cisco ACI and Arista
• Support Palo Alto firewalls, VPN, NAT, network segmentation, and perimeter connectivity
• Support load-balancing technologies and troubleshoot application connectivity
• Support network connectivity across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI environments
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning on-premises, perimeter, cloud, security, and application environments
• Participate in network migrations, modernization, lifecycle management, and technology-consolidation initiatives
• Collaborate with Network, Cloud, Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams
• Contribute to technical documentation, operational standards, automation, and knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements:

• Strong combination of experience across Enterprise Networking: Routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, Cisco ACI, Cisco data center networking, and Arista
• Experience with Perimeter & Security: Palo Alto firewalls, VPN, NAT, network segmentation, and load balancing
• Experience with Cloud Networking: AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, hybrid cloud, and cloud-to-on-premises connectivity
• Strong network troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals across multiple technology domains
• Ability to learn and work across different platforms rather than specializing in only one area
• Collaborative approach with a strong focus on teamwork and knowledge sharing
• Ability to take ownership of issues while engaging others effectively when needed
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams
• Adaptability and an interest in network modernization, automation, and continuous improvement

Desired skills:

• Experience with Automation & Infrastructure as Code: Terraform/OpenTofu, Python, Ansible, Git/GitHub, and APIs
