Role Summary: An established consulting organization is seeking an experienced professional to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of a large-scale enterprise network environment. This position ensures the reliability, security, and high performance of critical network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, cloud connectivity, and demilitarized zone (DMZ) architecture. Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and virtual private network technologies.
Configure and maintain Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, encompassing virtual local area networks, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
Administer and troubleshoot enterprise firewall platforms, featuring a strong emphasis on Palo Alto Firewalls for security policies, network address translation, and rule management.
Configure and support enterprise load balancing solutions such as F5 or Citrix ADC to optimize application performance and availability.
Design and maintain secure demilitarized zone environments supporting internal and external-facing applications.
Support hybrid cloud networking initiatives, including secure connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
Partner with network, infrastructure, and security teams to support production deployments, upgrades, and formal change management activities.
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for enterprise networking operations.
Perform comprehensive network documentation, standards development, and configuration management.
Maintain current knowledge of emerging networking technologies and recommend improvements to increase reliability, scalability, and security.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 6 years of dedicated enterprise network engineering experience.
Core Technical Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus operating systems and spine-leaf network architecture.
