Key Responsibilities
Manage VLANs, routing, QoS, and switches supporting AV data.
Connect AV control systems to corporate LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Isolate and resolve routing, switching, firewall, and network connectivity issues.
Install, configure, and maintain servers, switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance to prevent outages and identify potential bottlenecks.
Enforce access permissions and implement network security controls and firewalls.
Perform data backup and disaster recovery activities.
Serve as an advanced escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 help-desk tickets.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, system registries, configuration logs, and documentation.
Support collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Cisco Webex.
Coordinate with external ISPs and hardware vendors to troubleshoot and resolve escalated faults.
Essential Technical Skills
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and VLANs.
Knowledge of AV over IP (AVoIP) protocols, including Dante, NDI, and AES67.
Proficiency with enterprise networking vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
Experience managing and troubleshooting LAN/WAN topologies.
Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as SolarWinds and Wireshark.
