    Type: 90-Day Contract 
    Location: Jersey City, NJ and Manhattan, NY (hybrid; travel between both offices)
    Schedule: Hybrid – Onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote the other 2 days.

    Duration: 90-day contract, approved through the holiday season. Extension possible.
    Start Date: ASAP
    Hours / On-Call: 40 hours/week. On-call rotation during the holiday period. After-hours work is paid as approved overtime or offset with comp time.

    About the Role

    Our client needs a senior network engineer to keep its corporate, store, and cloud networks running through the holiday season. You will be the hands-on owner for network operations and escalations across its Jersey City and Manhattan offices, and you will support early planning for a network modernization program.

    What You'll Do

    • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain the LAN, WAN, and wireless networks across corporate offices and retail locations.

    • Configure and support Cisco routing and switching and Palo Alto Networks firewalls (rules, policies, and threat prevention).

    • Support enterprise wireless (Aruba and/or Cisco Meraki) and network access control (Aruba ClearPass or similar).

    • Maintain secure cloud connectivity to Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure.

    • Support store connectivity, including POS and in-store wireless.

    • Lead or support network incident response during the holiday period, including on-call coverage.

    • Identify end-of-life equipment and legacy design issues; help plan segmentation and SASE readiness.

    • Keep network diagrams, configurations, and change records current.

    What You Bring

    • 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.

    • Strong hands-on Cisco routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS).

    • Hands-on Palo Alto Networks firewall administration (Panorama a plus).

    • Enterprise wireless experience (Aruba, Meraki, or Cisco).

    • Experience connecting on-premises networks to public cloud (GCP and/or Azure).

    • Comfortable working onsite and moving between two office locations.

    • Strong troubleshooting and documentation habits.

    Nice to Have

    • CCNP, PCNSE, or Aruba certifications.

    • Experience with SD-WAN, network segmentation, or SASE (Zscaler, Prisma Access, or similar).

    • Retail network experience (stores, POS, distribution centers).
