Senior NetSuite Developer
W2 - NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE
We are seeking a Senior NetSuite Developer to lead NetSuite customization and integration efforts. This role is responsible for building scalable solutions within NetSuite, establishing development standards, and enabling internal team growth through mentorship and documentation.
You will play a key role in positioning NetSuite as the central system within a broader enterprise platform, integrating with eCommerce, CRM, and other business-critical systems.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on NetSuite development experience
- Strong expertise in SuiteScript 2.x (1.0 acceptable)
- Experience with RESTlets, SuiteTalk, web services, and APIs
- 3+ years integrating NetSuite with external systems (eCommerce, CRM, PIM, etc.)
- Experience with middleware platforms (e.g., Celigo, Boomi) or custom integrations
- Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Strong understanding of NetSuite data model, saved searches, and performance optimization
- Ability to debug complex cross-system issues
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite certifications (SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer)
- Experience with Advanced Pricing, SuiteCommerce, or other advanced NetSuite modules
- Knowledge of Product Information Management (PIM) systems
- Experience managing product hierarchy and variant configurations
- Familiarity with Ruby/Rails-based systems and integrations
- Experience in B2B/B2C eCommerce environments
- Background in distribution or wholesale industries
- Prior remote team experience
Key Responsibilities
NetSuite Development (60%)
- Develop SuiteScripts (2.x preferred), including user event, scheduled, and workflow scripts
- Build and maintain integrations with external systems using APIs, RESTlets, and middleware
- Customize NetSuite modules such as Order Management, Inventory, and Finance
- Implement complex product models, including variants and hierarchical structures
- Automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency
- Optimize script performance and saved searches
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and system issues
Knowledge Sharing & Enablement (25%)
- Document customizations, workflows, and integrations
- Mentor internal team members transitioning into NetSuite development roles
- Create runbooks, documentation, and development best practices
- Establish internal standards for NetSuite development
Architecture & Collaboration (15%)
- Collaborate with architecture teams on integration design
- Provide input on system-wide technical decisions
- Support implementation of CI/CD pipelines and testing strategies
- Contribute to reusable integration patterns and components
