Duration: 12-Month Contract
Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in the Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC
Required Pay Scale: 75-80HR W2

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to support a major Securities-Backed Lending technology initiative within a large financial-services organization.
This is a hands-on software-engineering role focused on developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise applications using C# and .NET. The selected developer will work closely with software engineers, solution architects, product owners, systems analysts, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate has extensive .NET development experience, strong API and integration skills, relational-database expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This individual must also be comfortable resolving technical impediments, mentoring less-experienced developers, and explaining complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
Project Details:
The Senior .NET Developer will participate throughout the software-development lifecycle, including solution design, development, testing, implementation, monitoring, maintenance, and production support.
The developer will work in an Agile environment, participate in user-story refinement, write automated unit and integration tests, support functional and release testing, and provide knowledge transfer to production-support teams.
Must Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and software-engineering experience
- Six to ten years of software-engineering or application-development experience
- Extensive hands-on development experience with C# and .NET
- Experience with modern .NET technologies such as .NET Core, .NET 6, .NET 8, or ASP.NET Core
- Experience building enterprise applications, backend services, or APIs
- Strong experience developing and consuming REST APIs or Open APIs
- Understanding of service-oriented architecture, distributed systems, or microservices
- Experience integrating multiple enterprise applications and data sources
- Strong relational-database design and development experience
- Hands-on experience with SQL, SQL Server, stored procedures, and data modeling
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests
- Experience using Git or a comparable source-control platform
- Experience with automated build and deployment pipelines
- Experience troubleshooting complex application, integration, and production issues
- Strong understanding of software-design principles, data structures, algorithms, and reusable application architecture
- Experience building or supporting application monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities
- Understanding of secure-development practices and application-security controls
- Experience participating throughout the software-development lifecycle
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-tempo environment
- Ability to identify and overcome technical impediments
- Ability to explain complex technical information to non-technical audiences
- Ability to provide technical direction and mentor less-experienced team members
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills

- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with open-source tools and frameworks
- Experience with API gateways, authentication, authorization, and service integration
- Experience with web servers, application containers, and caching technologies
- Experience with messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka, JMS, or similar platforms
- Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or another CI/CD platform
- Experience with testing frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest
- Experience with application-performance monitoring and observability tools
- Experience developing non-functional capabilities, including monitoring, logging, security, resiliency, and performance
- Banking or financial-services experience
- Experience supporting wealth-management, brokerage, trust, lending, underwriting, loan-decisioning, or collateral-management systems
- Experience integrating third-party financial technology platforms
- Familiarity with Securities-Backed Lending or other asset-backed lending products
- Experience modernizing or replacing legacy financial applications
- Experience supporting highly regulated, transactional, or customer-facing platforms
- Experience leading technical workstreams or overseeing the work of a small development team
