    Advertised Job Summary

    Under limited supervision, reporting to the Director of Creative Services and Data Strategies (Director), the Senior Multimedia Designer is responsible for leading the design, production, and execution of creative assets for the Annual Giving and Donor Experience department. This position serves as the primary designer for print, email, digital advertising, web, and other digital communications that support annual giving, donor engagement, donor experience, and constituent marketing strategies. The Senior Multimedia Designer develops compelling, brand-compliant visual materials that strengthen fundraising performance, improve user experience, and enhance engagement with alumni, donors, parents, students, and friends of the university. The Senior Multimedia Designer collaborates closely with the Annual Giving Programs and Unit Strategy team, Donor Experience team, University Development partners, Advancement Services, Printing Services, and University Communications and Marketing to deliver high-quality multimedia assets across multiple platforms. This position translates fundraising and marketing goals into effective visual storytelling and digital experiences, ensuring that all creative output is audience-centered, accessible, timely, and aligned with university brand standards.

    Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in graphic design, multimedia design, visual communications, digital media, marketing, or a related field.
    • Experience in higher education, nonprofit fundraising, annual giving, or marketing and communications.
    • Demonstrated experience designing creative assets for email marketing, print production, paid digital advertising, websites, social media, and campaign-based fundraising communications.
    • Experience working with CRM email builders, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, web content tools, and print vendors preferred.
    • Experience with project management tools, like JIRA.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design, multimedia design, visual storytelling, layout, typography, digital marketing creative, and print production processes.
    • Strong knowledge of creative best practices for fundraising, email marketing, digital advertising, websites, and donor-facing communications.
    • Conceptualize and execute compelling print and digital materials with clear calls to action and audience-specific messaging. Knowledge of accessibility standards, brand management, and user experience best practices.
    • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, alumni, donors, students, volunteers, vendors, and university partners. Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and commitment to quality and accuracy.
