CLH is looking for the engineer who will lead its electrical department. Our current department head has decades of experience and will hand the department over within the next few years. This role is how that happens: you come in as the senior electrical engineer, lead projects from day one, and take over the discipline with a long-tenured mentor beside you rather than inheriting it cold.

At a firm our size, leading the department means shaping it. You would set the standards, choose the tools, develop the people who join after you, and be the voice of electrical engineering for clients who come back to us project after project.

About CLH Architects & Engineers

Case, Lowe & Hart is a full-service architecture and engineering firm based in Ogden, Utah, with mechanical and electrical engineering in house. We design for federal agencies, including the Air Force, Forest Service, and Park Service, and for private clients in manufacturing, mining, commercial, and hospitality. Current work includes a new motorsports venue with a welcome center, museum, and restaurants. Because architecture and engineering sit under one roof, coordination happens across a desk rather than across a contract. We are building a new office in Ogden, and we plan to be here for a long time.

The role

You will lead the electrical design on multiple projects at once, from schematic design through construction administration: service and distribution, power, lighting, and low-voltage systems. You will be client-facing for the discipline, manage the electrical scope's schedule and fee, review and mentor other engineers and designers, and coordinate closely with our architects and mechanical engineer. You will still design and calculate hands on. Over the next few years you will take ownership of the department itself.

What we are looking for:

• An active PE license in Utah, or one that transfers to Utah by comity
• Roughly ten to fifteen years designing building electrical systems at an MEP, A/E, or design-build firm
• Experience leading the electrical scope on complex projects and reviewing others' work
• The ability to work in person in Ogden
