Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior MEP Coordinator to support large-scale commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Fire Protection systems throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with design consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with large commercial construction projects, strong BIM coordination skills, and the ability to manage MEP coordination from preconstruction through commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems throughout construction.
  • Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications for completeness and constructability.
  • Lead 3D/BIM coordination meetings and resolve design conflicts before installation.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams to maintain schedule and quality.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, transmittals, and project documentation using construction management software.
  • Track procurement and installation of MEP equipment and materials.
  • Review and evaluate MEP-related change orders.
  • Perform regular field walks to verify installation quality and compliance.
  • Support QA/QC activities, testing, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of MEP coordination experience on large commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
  • Experience with BIM coordination tools such as Revizto, Navisworks, or Revit.
  • Proficiency with Procore or similar construction management software.
  • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, and change orders.
  • Strong understanding of construction practices, building codes, and QA/QC processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on large, complex commercial construction projects.
  • Experience with commissioning and project closeout.
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software.
