    Senior Mechanical Engineer

    Job description:

    Develop mechanical and electromechanical design of self-service kiosk solutions, per customer requirements, supporting manufacturing through prototype and production, while exhibiting expert knowledge, guidance, and leadership within the Engineering team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and development of self-service kiosk solutions meeting market requirements
    • Integration design of electromechanical kiosk components
    • Structural, thermal, and dynamic design analysis
    • Design compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
    • Generate detailed design documentation for kiosk fabrication and assembly
    • Develop and implement assembly procedures, as required, to support manufacturing
    • Support root cause analysis of field failures
    • Support Sales team in development of project proposals
    • Collaborate with customers in establishing product requirements
    • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior level engineers
    • Support other Engineering team members towards successful project completion
    • Lead Engineering team in continuous improvement of design philosophy and execution
    • Identify and collaborate with vendors to ensure proper manufacturing of sourced components or assemblies

    Required Skills:

    • BSME or equivalent
    • 8+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
    • 4+ years 3D CAD experience, ProE/Creo preferred
    • Experience with PDM, Windchill preferred
    • Knowledge of sheet metal design
    • Working knowledge of various welding techniques and weldment design
    • Knowledge of design considerations across manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal casting, thermoforming, stamping, bending and laser cutting
    • Demonstrated capability to take projects from concept to launch
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
    • Adaptable, collaborative, and open to feedback and concepts

    Desired Skills:

    • Expert knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication methodologies
    • Exhibited capability for rapid development and validation of complex assemblies

    Travel:

    • Occasional travel to visit customers, vendors, and/or to address field issues may be required. <10%.

    Physical:

    Must be able to sit / stand 8 hours
