Snapshot / Role Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead large-scale commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout.
Impact:
- Deliver complex mechanical projects on time and within budget acrosshospitals, schools, airports, high-rises, and arenas.
- Drive coordination between design, field, and trade teams on high-profile commercial builds.
- Strengthen client relationships through consistent project execution and clear communication.
- Mentor project engineers and assistant project managers to build team capacity.
- Support business growth through successful delivery and repeat client engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of commercial mechanical projects from planning through closeout.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation for HVAC and plumbing scopes.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve design and field issues.
- Lead weekly project meetings and maintain clear documentation of decisions and action items.
- Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor field progress and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and contract requirements.
- Collaborate with estimating teams on bid reviews, value engineering, and preconstruction support.
- Mentor junior project staff and promote accountability across project teams.
