Senior Mechanical Project Manager - Greater Boston

THE OPPORTUNITY

A Senior Mechanical Project Manager position with a mechanical contractor, carrying HVAC and piping scopes under a construction manager. The position reports to a division manager or to ownership.

THE ROLE

Two or three projects at once, from buyout through startup and turnover. Your general foreman and foremen run the installation, the detailers and coordination sit on your jobs, and the labor curve is your number.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Buyout of equipment, sheet metal, piping and controls
• The labor plan, the manpower curve and the monthly cost report
• Coordination drawings, modeling and fabrication releases
• Change orders, extras and the construction manager's schedule
• Startup, test and balance, commissioning and turnover documents
• General foremen, foremen and project engineers on your jobs

QUALIFICATIONS

• Seven or more years managing mechanical construction for a mechanical contractor
• HVAC with hydronic or process piping, on institutional, life science or industrial projects
• Union labor and the agreements that govern it
• Equipment buyout and vendor negotiation
• Cost reporting across a project's life, the labor curve included

COMPENSATION

Base of $140,000 to $180,000, plus bonus.
