Senior Engineer, Mechanical Key Responsibilities- Serve as the mechanical engineering technical authority across multiple programs and technology initiatives.
- Provide hands-on leadership for mechanical design, integration, and product support activities across pre-production, production, and sustainment programs.
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle.
- Establish and mature engineering processes, design methodologies, and execution frameworks where formal infrastructure may not yet exist.
- Participate in and lead engineering change activities, configuration management processes, and design reviews.
- Perform and oversee system-level analyses, including tolerance analysis, manufacturability assessments, and design trade studies.
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to identify technical solutions, manage risk, and support program execution.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of mechanical engineering leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex technical efforts throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Experience transitioning projects from prototype development to production environments.
- Experience with engineering change management and configuration control processes on complex development programs.
- Demonstrated ability to create structure, prioritize effectively, and drive execution in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities, technologies, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Self-motivated mindset with a demonstrated ability to build capability and deliver results in environments where processes, infrastructure, and support systems are still maturing.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD modeling tools, including PTC Creo and/or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of design techniques, engineering analyses, and the development of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
- Experience creating detailed drawings and applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications- Twelve (12) + years of relevant engineering and technical leadership experience.
- Experience supporting proposal development, technology roadmaps, and business growth initiatives.
- Active U.S. Department of Defense security clearance.
