Description:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at HTL you will lead the conceptualization, analysis, and design of small Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) electronics to reliably operate in harsh environmental conditions, and the performance of all mechanical aspects of systems design and platform integrations.

Product development is performed in cross-disciplinary teams with Mechanical Engineers leading concept development and all mechanical aspects of the product lifecycle, from concept to production, including transition to production and manufacturing support. Analysis responsibilities include performing analysis in the areas of statics, dynamics, mechanical stresses, shock, vibration, thermal, fit/tolerances, and manufacturability to ensure a reliable and high-quality product design. Design entails creating 3D CAD concepts of sub-components and systems, selecting components, performing detailed design, documenting for fabrication and assembly, and coordinating with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and vendors.

Senior members will perform the above and will mentor junior team members through these tasks by providing leadership in decision making, analysis, design trade-offs, and design aspects for manufacturability, durability, reliability, and quality.

Advanced coursework, Master's degree, and/or 3 years past experience in related mechanical design preferred. Pro-E/CREO experience preferred.

Project and team leadership opportunities available for those that desire, past leadership experience is preferred.

SALARY RANGE

Full-time: $100,000- $275,000 per year
