    Twin Cities Automation (TCA) is seeking a talented and dynamic Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with a strong background in designing automation equipment. The ideal candidate can work well in a small company environment, collaborate with colleagues, and easily handle various roles and responsibilities. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the conceptual development of initial equipment, ensuring a harmonious balance between product specifications, process needs, design complexity, cost considerations, and project timelines. This position requires a blend of creativity, technical expertise, and a keen eye for detail to lead the development and implementation of advanced control systems for diverse projects.​

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Creating conceptual designs and detailed CAD models for quoting purposes, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
    • Developing innovative designs for both integration into existing equipment and the creation of new turn-key solutions.
    • Maintaining a meticulous bill of materials to facilitate efficient procurement and assembly processes.
    • Collaborating with electrical engineering team to ensure electrical components are integrated appropriately
    • Applying problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues as they arise.
    • Building strong relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact and addressing their needs effectively.
    • Updating and managing project schedules to ensure timely completion and delivery.
    • Being flexible and willing to undertake additional duties as assigned to support company objectives and initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of custom automation experience
    • Associates or higher degree
    • Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
