Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Georgetown, Washington, DC
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to mechanical engineers and designers.

• Develop and manage project work plans.

• Lead system selection, basis of design development, and overall quality of mechanical/plumbing deliverables.

• Coordinate mechanical and plumbing designs with project teams, other disciplines, and Project Managers.

• Represent the Mechanical discipline during client and project meetings.

• Provide construction-phase support, including submittal reviews and RFI responses.

• Assist in developing and maintaining mechanical/plumbing standards and quality control processes.

• Serve as a senior technical resource for HVAC and plumbing design.

• Collaborate effectively with internal teams to resolve design challenges and ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.

• 8+ years of mechanical/plumbing design experience.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

• Proficiency with Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience using Trane Trace load calculation software.

• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, leadership, and project teams.
