The Systems Integration Team is responsible for concepting, engineering, and delivering automated material handling systems within the automated warehouse industry. Job Summary A successful Mechanical Engineer III will strive for excellence in client satisfaction while demonstrating technical skill and strong industry knowledge. The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer is an integral part of our client-focused business model and requires involvement in a variety of tasks ranging from initial design consultations and sales support to system design, installation and project delivery. Qualification, Education, and Experience Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, from an accredited university.6+ years of proven experience in automated material handling, with a focus on full system integrationExperience with selection and integration of automated equipment not limited toCase and pallet conveyor (Experience with Hytrol is a plus)

- Ability to understand and develop mathematical models
- Capable of clear verbal and written communication both internally and to external groups such as vendors and customers
- Proven ability to work both independently and within teams, managing tasks across multiple projects and sales opportunities
- Be a proactive problem solver able to identify and communicate risks early on and develop processes to address them
- Ability to travel up to 20% for sales support, project design, and installation
Essential Job Functions- Work within a flexible and multi-disciplined team to design and deliver automated material handling solutions that meet the unique business objectives and requirements of various customers
- Manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously
- Attend and lead technical discussions with customers
- Create material flow diagrams, describing how the system will function
- Collaborate both internally and with external vendors to select appropriate Savoye or buy-out equipment for each application based on factors of form, function, and cost
- Configure and place orders for equipment and materials, approve vendor approval drawings and order acknowledgments
- Prepare approval drawings, installations drawings and documentation, commissioning plans, and as-built documentation
- Support site management and installation teams by providing technical guidance and aid in troubleshooting activities
- Lead maintenance and operations training sessions with our customers
- Provide regular updates to Project Management and Executive Sponsor on the deliverable status, technical risks and contingency plans, as well as engineering percent completion for your project
- Identify opportunities to improve schedules by leveraging previous solutions, sharing engineering tools, and lessons learned from experience
- Leverage knowledge and experience of past projects to improve system designs, rates, and costs
- Assist the Solution Development team by creating drawings, cost estimates, and schedules, as well as helping to compile and review the technical portions of proposal documents such as description of operation and acceptance plans
- Work closely with our product team to ensure that the quality and functionality of our products remains at the highest level
- Attend training and product demonstrations offered by our suppliers to stay up to date on emerging technologies
- Assist in developing programs, standards, and processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, consistency, and accuracy of our MHS installations
- Travel for activities such as sales meetings, drawing accuracy audits, system installation, commissioning activities, and system start up (maximum of 3 consecutive weeks on site or as otherwise agreed upon with the Company)
- Lead and manage other, more junior, Mechanical Engineers for the purposes of deliverable completion and general mentoring
- Aid in the mentoring of junior Mechanical Engineers and the development of training and continuous improvement opportunities
- Approach problem-solving with a calm and balanced perspective, modeling effective behaviors for the team
- Handle conflicts constructively, promoting a positive culture that values diversity and inclusion
- Take ownership of tasks and hold self and team accountable to deliver quality systems to our customers
Working Conditions- Although this is a full-time, Exempt position (40 hours per week), extended hours and evenings may be required based on client needs.
- Most tasks, projects, and communication with clients, team members, and directors will be completed using a telephone, microphone, computer, and video technology.

Location: Aurora, IL (Headquarters) - The work schedule is Hybrid- 4 days in the office and 1 day remote. At times business needs may demand your presence to be in the office every day.
