A Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for providing mechanical design and engineering support for refrigeration truck and trailer units, with a focus on product development, cost reduction, and design optimization. The role involves developing and optimizing 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, performing CAE/FEA structural, vibration, and fatigue analysis, supporting ECNs, and implementing cost-effective design improvements. The engineer also leads Design to Value (DTV), Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE), material optimization, and design rationalization activities while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to validate savings, ensure design robustness, and support project reviews.
- Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reviews and status reporting.
- Prepare technical documentation, design change summaries, and management presentations.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, follow-ups, and closure activities.

- Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities across products, components, and assemblies.
- Develop, modify, and optimize 3D models, CAD designs, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Perform CAE analysis, including FEA Structural, Vibrational and Fatigue analysis as required.
- Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including analysis, documentation, and closure.
- Propose and implement cost-optimized design changes without compromising functionality or quality.
- Perform design rationalization, alternate part introduction, and material optimization.
- Analyze savings potential and support savings validation and governance reviews such as TRB/QRB process with stakeholders to confirm the design feasibility and robustness.
