Job Summary
Provide mechanical design and engineering support for Refrigeration Truck and Trailer Units.
Support product development, design optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Identify opportunities to reduce product and component costs while maintaining functionality and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities across products, components, and assemblies.
Develop, modify, and optimize 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
Perform CAE/FEA analysis, including:
Structural analysis
Vibrational analysis
Fatigue analysis
Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including analysis, documentation, and closure.
Propose and implement cost-optimized design changes.
Perform:
Design rationalization
Alternate part introduction
Material optimization
Analyze savings potential and support savings validation.
Participate in TRB/QRB governance reviews to validate design feasibility and robustness.
Work with cross-functional stakeholders to implement engineering changes.
Project Management
Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reviews.
Prepare technical documentation, design change summaries, and management presentations.
Participate in stakeholder meetings, follow-ups, and closure activities.
Track project status, actions, risks, and deliverables.
