    About the Role:

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of complex and open-ended mechanical engineering projects at Anatomage. You will work closely with company leadership and cross-functional teams to turn concepts and ideas into functional, manufacturable products.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and hands-on engineer who can independently take a project from initial concept and design through prototyping, testing, iteration, and production. This role requires strong technical judgment, creativity, and the ability to solve problems when requirements and solutions are not always clearly defined.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems, products, components, and technologies from concept through production.
    • Translate high-level and open-ended concepts from company leadership into practical engineering solutions.
    • Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
    • Take ownership of mechanical design decisions, including materials, tolerances, component interactions, manufacturability, cost, and reliability.
    • Design, build, modify, and test physical prototypes to validate concepts and identify design improvements.
    • Lead iterative design processes based on prototype testing, analysis, and performance results.
    • Develop and evaluate engineering concepts, feasibility studies, design trade-offs, and technical approaches.
    • Apply engineering analysis and problem-solving techniques to address mechanical, structural, thermal, fluid, and other technical challenges as applicable.
    • Incorporate design-for-manufacturing principles and work closely with manufacturing partners and suppliers to develop production-ready designs.
    • Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, product, field service, and other teams to resolve technical issues and improve products.
    • Lead technical discussions, design reviews, and engineering decisions for assigned projects.
    • Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the product development process.
    • Support the development and improvement of medical and educational products and technologies.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers and team members.
    • Evaluate new technologies, materials, components, and manufacturing methods for potential application to Anatomage products.
    • Communicate technical concepts, recommendations, project status, and design decisions clearly through written documentation and presentations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
