Join our team of experts! As a Mechanical Engineer (MEP), you will use your skills to act as a partner between Powell Project Managers and our customers on projects. You will design and create layouts and documentation within a BIM environment for electrical and mechanical building systems that meet project and technical specifications. You will use computer-aided design (Autodesk Revit) and other specialized software tools to coordinate & generate detailed layout plans, schematics, schedules and drawings for electrical and mechanical systems. You will maintain accurate and complete change and version control on all design files, documents, and drawings. You will incorporate best practices to address design space constraints and ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and building codes. You will collaborate with engineers and other project members, and you may conduct or participate in site visits to inspect installations or troubleshooting problems. Our engineers and designers are the technical experts for Powell projects.

The employee typically performs duties in a normal office environment. There will be some work in the shop environment and exposure to the elements of our shop. Additionally, there may be some work performed in the field with exposure to construction sites or active customer facilities.
