Description
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes that support production efficiency, quality, and cost objectives.
- Lead process development activities for new product introductions and production launches.
- Analyze existing manufacturing operations and identify opportunities to improve productivity and process capability.
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize manufacturing equipment and production processes.
- Design and develop tooling, fixtures, gauges, and process solutions that support manufacturing objectives.
- Apply Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies to drive sustainable operational gains.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving techniques.
- Validate product and process quality through testing methods, process capability analysis, and data-driven decision making.
- Evaluate capital equipment investments, develop business cases, and manage equipment implementation projects.
- Partner with engineering, operations, quality, tooling, and customer teams to deliver manufacturing solutions and improve product performance.
- Maintain engineering documentation, process procedures, and performance reporting.
- Own and enhance PFMEA activities to strengthen process reliability and risk mitigation efforts.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related industrial environment.
- Experience supporting manufacturing process development, continuous improvement, and production optimization initiatives.
- Knowledge of machining processes such as grinding, turning, honing, and milling is highly desirable.
- Understanding of automotive quality systems, ISO/IATF standards, and manufacturing best practices.
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience using statistical methods, process controls, and root cause analysis techniques.
- Ability to manage projects independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
