Senior Manufacturing EngineerMy client is a respected manufacturer of highly engineered precision components serving leading customers in the automotive and industrial sectors. The organization has a strong reputation for quality, operational excellence, and continuous investment in advanced manufacturing technologies.The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:Develop and implement innovative manufacturing processes for precision-machined products.Lead process development activities, including capacity planning, cost analysis, and new product launches.Drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.Optimize machining operations including grinding, honing, turning, and milling processes.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies.Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing process improvements.Evaluate, justify, and manage capital equipment projects from concept through implementation.Collaborate with product engineering teams to enhance manufacturability and product performance.Support PFMEA development and continuous improvement activities.Interface directly with customers regarding manufacturability, process capability, and quality requirements.Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, and engineering standards.The successful applicant:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.4+ years of manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience within a production environment.Experience with machining processes such as grinding, turning, milling, or honing preferred.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Advanced Problem Solving methodologies.Familiarity with ISO/IATF quality systems and automotive manufacturing standards is highly desirable.Experience with CAD software and manufacturing process development.Strong understanding of statistical analysis, SPC, root cause analysis, and process capability studies.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and customer-facing teams.What's on offer:Competitive compensationComprehensive benefits planCareer growth opportunitiesAccess to high level management401K matchExcellent work life balance
