Job TitleLead CNC Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionLead the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes and CNC machining programs. Create and improve CNC programs for milling, multi-axis machining, and other precision manufacturing applications. Design tooling, fixtures, and work-holding solutions that enhance productivity, quality, and repeatability. Troubleshoot manufacturing challenges related to equipment, machining processes, tooling, and production workflows. Support new product introduction activities, ensuring successful transition from development through full-scale production. Collaborate with commercial, engineering, quality, and operations teams to meet project timelines and customer requirements. Develop scalable manufacturing processes that improve product quality, efficiency, and safety. Drive transfer of products and processes from development environments into manufacturing operations. Provide hands-on production support and implement improvements that enhance throughput, quality, and cost performance. Lead process validation activities, including equipment qualification and manufacturing validation protocols. Generate and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures, reports, and technical records. Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and industry standards within a regulated manufacturing environment. Utilize Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. Train and mentor production personnel on manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and best practices.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC manufacturing and engineering. Strong expertise in CNC programming, setup, optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience with multi-axis machining, precision manufacturing, and advanced machining techniques. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, Esprit, or equivalent platforms. Demonstrated experience developing manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixture designs. Experience supporting new product introduction and product transfer initiatives. Knowledge of process validation methodologies, including IQ, OQ, and PQ. Familiarity with ISO-regulated manufacturing environments and quality management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including process capability and statistical analysis. Ability to manage multiple projects while effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train, mentor, and influence teams. Experience in medical device manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, project management, Wire EDM, or advanced manufacturing technologies would be advantageous.What's on OfferCompetitive salary package commensurate with experience.
