In this pivotal position, you'll spearhead initiatives focused on streamlining manufacturing processes and delivering strategic engineering solutions across the facility. You'll work directly under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and safety experts.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive forward-thinking continuous improvement initiatives that enhance output efficiency, minimize waste, and elevate safety standards while managing welding, workflow, and time optimization.
- Oversee multifaceted projects with meticulous attention to budgeting, timelines, and the implementation of state-of-the-art technologies.
- Conduct comprehensive root cause assessments, apply corrective measures, and ensure long-lasting improvements.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource in mechanical and electrical design, as well as systems involving pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated controls.
- Champion safety enhancements through regular audits, insightful feedback, and training facilitation.
- Leverage CAD and simulation tools for designing innovative process solutions.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering
- Expertise in mechanical/electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Skilled in CAD software, with simulation tool experience being an added advantage
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP
- Exceptional communication abilities
- Competency in Microsoft Excel and related office applications
**Preferred**
- Background in welding or certification such as CWI
- Proficiency with tooling/die operations
- Knowledge of API certification standards
- Experience in time study and Lean/CI methodologies
