At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who will engage and drive solutions of cross-functional quality cycle time and process issues.Main ResponsibilitiesUse of continual improvement and data analysis tools to identify issues in manufacturing processes impacting Quality and working to resolve them with the Process Engineering and Operations teams.Work closely with Operations to identify process inefficiencies bottlenecks training needs and continual improvement initiatives.Lead Production Readiness Reviews PRRs for items transitioning from New Product teams to production in a comprehensive manner to ensure smooth transition into manufacturing. This includes conducting training requirements space requirements capacity analysis and quality analysis.Conducting root cause analyses on nonconforming materials and reporting findings to Management and as applicable to customers.Working with Process Engineers in cross functional team environments analyzing and understanding defects and working to optimize processes.Lead Continuous Improvement CI projects that are derived from data analysis scope includes proposing new projects chartering developing schedules leading teams and regular updates to CI steering committee.Optimization of stable processes by conducting yield improvement analysis and efforts.LeadParticipate in regular Material Review Board MRB meetings to ensure non-compliances are being addressed in a timely manner and systemic issues are resolved.The candidate will be excellent in collaborating in multi-level cross-functional teams and provide daily support of the manufacturing operation.Ensure Manufacturing plans are reviewed and updated on a regular basis. This includes conducting periodic review of Standard Routings Yields Standard Bill of Materials and Work instructions.Work with finance to understand and resolve production variances in manufacturing on a weekly basis.Other tasks as assigned.QualificationsBachelors degree in a technical field such as Industrial or Mechanical Engineering Physics or Mathematics. Masters Degree preferred.10-15 years experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar roleLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt or demonstrated use and knowledge of Lean Six-Sigma methodologies and tools preferred.Experience in using statistics and statistical process control SPC to make data-driven decisions while driving improvements.Demonstrated use of LeanSix-Sigma and root cause analysis tools such as DMAIC Ishikawa 5-Why fault tree diagram value-stream maps and time studycapacity analysis.Experience in low volume high product mixture manufacturing.
