WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK
We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world's best places to work. We are currently the #1 ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work list and have maintained a spot in the top four on Glassdoor's list since its founding in 2009. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don't happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
Global Strategy and Operations, Office of the Worldwide Managing Partner (WMP) is a core member of Bain's global strategy and operations team that focuses on strategy development, review, and deployment; governance priorities and processes; strategic resourcing; and WMP events and communications. The team also works closely with other departments across Bain, including Finance, Marketing, Commercial Operations, Talent, Technology Services, Regions, and Vector, to ensure alignment of key priorities.
WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM
The Strategic Intelligence Senior Manager sits at the center of how Bain understands the evolution of the consulting industry, a growing and fast-evolving competitive landscape. The role shapes Bain's understanding of the external environment in which it competes by producing high-quality analysis, connecting dots across workstreams, and surfacing implications that no single analysis would reveal on its own.
To enable this critical mission, the Senior Manager supports strategic intelligence efforts by delivering insights on the full portfolio of industry intelligence analytics that inform the firm's strategy and owns WMP/Strategy special projects. Key analyses include industry monitoring, innovation sensing, and signpost reviews [see below].
The Senior Manager is a core part of Bain's Corporate Strategy team, working closely with the Chief of Staff to the WMP and ultimately reporting to Bain's Global Operating Committee. This role supports development of materials and insights for conversations with the WMP, Global Operating Committee, Board of Directors and other senior firm leaders. The role guides the Global Strategy & Operations Center of Excellence team, based in India, that supports analytics execution.
An ideal candidate for this role has strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to support analysis of strategic questions, helping to structure problems and develop insights from imperfect data. They do not simply produce accurate and defensible estimates; they assemble, augment, and frame findings so senior leaders walk away with a clear point of view. They exercise sound business judgment to decode noise and complexity in market intelligence, manage a broad portfolio of workstreams with different cadences, stakeholder sets, and data sources comfortably, and continuously push themselves and the team to uncover critical findings and to innovate ways to find higher-quality answers faster and smarter. They proactively contribute to team morale, learning, and sense of spirit; seek opportunities for PD development and team sustainability; and contribute to Bain 'beyond the core team' e.g., via office initiatives, diversity groups, other initiatives.
