Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting

Salary: $170k - $200k plus bonus plus equity

Responsibilities

• Lead external financial reporting and related disclosures for the quarterly and annual SEC 10Q, 10K filings and earnings releases
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex business matters.
• Research accounting matters and prepare U.S. GAAP memos.
• Support strategic transactions, business initiatives, and complex accounting matters.
• Manage SOX risk assessments, controls, testing, and remediation.
• Coordinate SOX, audit, and technical accounting matters.
• Partner cross-functionally on accounting and controls.
• Improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and automation.
• Evaluate technology solutions to improve reporting efficiency and compliance.
• Implement new accounting standards and disclosures.
• Optimize financial reporting and accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven SEC reporting experience, including 10-Q, 10-Ks.
• Experience partnering with external auditors.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience implementing new accounting standards.
• Experience researching complex accounting matters and preparing technical memos.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance, internal controls, and external audits.
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and apply appropriate accounting guidance.
• Proven leadership skills.
