A global software organization is seeking an experienced Revenue Recognition professional to support complex deal structuring and contract review activities. This role will partner closely with Sales, Legal, Pricing, and Corporate Accounting to ensure revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with ASC 606, IFRS 15.The ideal candidate brings strong software revenue expertise across complex, multi‑element arrangements, excels in cross‑functional partnership, and is comfortable operating in a front‑end, business‑facing role.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
Industry or public accounting background preferred
CPA and/or Big 4 experience highly preferred
5+ years of hands‑on revenue recognition experience, ideally within software or technology companies
Hands on ASC 606, IFRS 15 experience including contract review, documentation, and identification of revenue risks
Proven experience supporting complex, multi‑element software arrangements, including on‑premise, SaaS, perpetual, and term‑based models
Demonstrated ability to support deal structuring, partnering with Sales, Legal, and Deal Desk to recommend compliant and commercially practical contract terms
Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills, with the ability to clearly document conclusions and explain financial outcomes
Effective communicator who can translate technical revenue matters to non‑finance stakeholders and operate confidently in a front‑end, business‑facing role
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Corporate HQ, Sales Operations, Pricing, Legal, Revenue Accounting, Credit, and other stakeholders to review customer agreements and ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15.
Coordinate timely, accurate deal reviews and prepare complete review packages for won customer transactions.
Support NAM sales and sales support teams by modeling revenue recognition outcomes and advising on contract terms to maximize value while remaining compliant.
Ensure proper recording of revenue transactions in financial statements, including preparation and coordination of complex manual journal entries.
Perform ad hoc analysis and support quarter‑end reporting related to complex revenue arrangements.
Ensure accurate revenue setup and recognition in internal systems across the full contract lifecycle.
