The Senior Manager of Quality is responsible for leading the development, integration, standardization, and continuous advancement of quality systems and processes across all ABT locations. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, strengthening cross-functional alignment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, industry, and customer quality requirements. Serving as a strategic partner to Operations and Executive Leadership, the Senior Manager of Quality drives collaboration, process discipline, and data-driven decision-making to improve product quality, operational performance, and organizational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team by aligning quality strategies and initiatives with overall business objectives.
Champion a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving product quality performance, consistency, scalability, and process effectiveness across all sites.
Mentor, develop, and support site quality leaders, supervisors, and team members to strengthen organizational capability and alignment.
Oversee the administration, standardization, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) and associated quality processes and tools.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards, certifications, and customer requirements, including AS9100, Nadcap, IPC, ITAR, CMMC, and customer-specific quality requirements.
Lead and facilitate root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), risk mitigation activities, and systemic problem-solving efforts.
Drive process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, strengthen process control, and enhance overall product and operational quality.
Support internal audit activities, ensuring effective corrective actions, ongoing compliance, and continuous process improvement.
Ensure product quality and manufacturing processes consistently meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Develop, monitor, and communicate key quality performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and trends to leadership teams.
Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program teams to proactively address quality risks and improve overall business performance.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Quality, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, quality systems, or continuous improvement.
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
Strong working knowledge of AS9100, Nadcap, ISO, and related regulatory frameworks.
