    Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is looking for a Full-time Senior Manager of Lending Operations for our Grove Creek Serice Center.

     

    Role:

    Manages and supports key functions within the Lending Operations Department under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer. Provides leadership and oversight for loan documentation, loan closing, loan servicing, construction draw, and related operational processes. Works closely with department managers, lending leadership, compliance, credit, and other bank partners to ensure efficient workflows, consistent procedures, timely issue resolution, and strong service to internal and external customers. Supports implementation of process improvements, regulatory and audit remediation, training, employee development, and operational reporting. Responsible for the management, performance, coaching, and development of assigned direct reports.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversees assigned Lending Operations functions, including loan documentation, loan closing, loan servicing, construction draw, and related operational support activities.
    • Provides day-to-day leadership to department managers and staff by helping resolve escalated issues, prioritizing work, supporting consistent communication, and ensuring operational needs are addressed timely and effectively.
    • Coordinates with lending leadership, compliance, credit, retail, other bank departments, and corporate departments to maintain sound processes, implement procedure updates, support new initiatives, and promote consistency across lending operations.
    • Supports internal and external audit responses, regulatory reviews, procedure updates, and remediation activities related to Lending Operations.
    • Monitors operational performance, service levels, quality trends, exception activity, and workload needs; recommends improvements to strengthen efficiency, accuracy, accountability, and customer service.
    • Maintains employee files, writes performance reviews, conducts periodic one-on-ones, supports employee onboarding, and works with department managers and bank leaders on escalated employee matters as necessary. Approves time off requests for assigned direct reports.
    • Manages direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and employee development, including hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rules. Appraises performance and provides recommendations for compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate.
    • Maintains awareness of regulatory requirements and bank policies applicable to Lending Operations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
    • Supports regulatory reporting and related operational processes, including HMDA, CRA, Adverse Action, and other lending compliance responsibilities as assigned.
    • Completes required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure they understand the information provided in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training.

Keep work area tidy and maintain customer privacy. Attends and participates in meetings as required.
    • Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in-person contact with customers.

    About You:

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

                           

    At least ten years similar or related experience.

     

    Education   

                               

    A college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

     

    Required Knowledge:           

    • Advanced degree preferred

     

    Skills and Abilities:                

    • Must demonstrate mastery level knowledge of common computer skills for Microsoft Office including a working knowledge of Outlook, adequate typing skills, and file organization.
    • Must display a high level of initiative and resourcefulness in resolving employee issues.
    • Must demonstrate a superior level of skill in communicating effectively and efficiently within all levels of the organization. 
    • Must exhibit an ability to manage staff, priorities, and schedules.
    • Must use motivational skills to mentor, inspire, and motivate others to perform their best.
    • Must have superior organizational skills and an ability to work within the bank’s organizational structure.
    • Must demonstrate an ability to create training plans, materials, and perform training as needed.
    • Must exhibit advanced skill in writing for performance reviews and employee files as well as for training materials and electronic communication.

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position. Most Full-Time employees are also offered 6 paid holidays and Part Time employees are offered pro-rated paid holidays.
