Alliance Resource Group is partnering with a growing consumer business seeking a hands-on Senior Manager of Accounting. This position offers ownership of GL and close execution, leadership of a small team and the opportunity to help strengthen an evolving accounting function.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with curiosity, follow-through and the ability to resolve issues independently. You should enjoy reviewing work, developing people and getting into transaction-level detail when needed.

    What you’ll do

    • Own and improve monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations and supporting schedules.

    • Prepare and review balance-sheet analyses, financial reporting inputs and explanations of period-over-period changes.

    • Investigate aged balances, unusual transactions and discrepancies, driving issues through resolution.

    • Support revenue accounting matters and apply ASC 606 knowledge within a multi-channel consumer environment.

    • Coordinate audit requests and deliver clear, complete supporting documentation.

    • Strengthen accounting policies, review controls and close procedures.

    • Lead and develop a small team while partnering with Finance, Operations and Technology.

    What we’re looking for

    • Approximately 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership.

    • CPA or actively pursuing the CPA.

    • Direct GL and close ownership within apparel, retail, e-commerce or a relevant consumer products business.

    • Strong reconciliation, audit support and financial reporting experience.

    • Exposure to retail inventory and multi-channel revenue accounting.

    • NetSuite strongly preferred; substantial equivalent enterprise ERP experience may be considered.

    • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to communicate accounting issues clearly.

    • Public-company and SOX experience are strong advantages.

    Why consider this opportunity?

This role offers the chance to broaden your accounting scope, develop your leadership skills and make visible improvements to the close. You will work alongside experienced accounting leadership in an environment where ownership and practical problem solving matter.
