Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Media Measurement Strategy, to join a newly formed media measurement team. This role will play a critical part in shaping how marketing investment decisions are made, bringing rigor, structure, and clarity to short‑term optimization, long‑term effectiveness, and enterprise‑level spend strategy.
This is not a reporting or attribution operations role. It is a strategy and decision‑enablement role, owning the interpretation of measurement outputs and translating them into clear, actionable recommendations for the business.
Why This Role Matters
As one of the first senior hires on this team, you will help establish the operating model, guardrails, and storytelling approach that leadership will rely on to allocate media and commercial investment with confidence.
This role will help move the organization from measurement as hindsight to measurement as a decision system. Operating in a build‑phase environment, you will balance rigor with practicality while shaping expectations, norms, and best practices for how measurement informs decisions. This role plays a key connective role across media teams, internal analytics partners, and external measurement vendors to ensure a cohesive, decision‑ready measurement system.
Key Responsibilities
Measurement Strategy & Effectiveness
Ensure media performance is grounded in causal incrementality
Balance short‑term performance signals with long‑term value implications to ensure decisions do not optimize one horizon at the expense of another
Own interpretation and application of short and long-term measurement outputs
Define measurement guardrails and learning agendas
In‑Flight Optimization Support
Partner with media teams to provide decision‑ready guidance during campaigns
Help identify where incremental dollars should be shifted to improve return
Clearly communicate confidence levels, limitations, and tradeoffs with in‑flight signals
Help teams distinguish between directional signals and validated impact
Enterprise & Brand Allocation
Lead cross‑brand and cross‑lever investment analyses
Quantify marginal returns and trade‑offs across media and other growth levers
Support annual planning and incremental budget decisions
Business Translation & Storytelling
Turn complex analysis into clear, concise recommendations
Frame size of prize, risk, and uncertainty for senior leadership
Represent measurement outcomes with influence and credibility
Team & Capability Building
Manage and mentor the analyst supporting this function
Help define best practices, templates, and standards
Partner closely with internal data science and external measurement vendors to ensure measurement approaches are aligned, outputs are actionable, and delivery supports business decisions
