    Senior Manager, Logistics Operations

    Overview

    We are seeking a Senior Manager, Logistics Operations to lead regional logistics operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, safety, quality, employee engagement, and operational performance. The role will oversee local managers, support strategic initiatives, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement.

     

    Key Responsibilities
    • Lead day-to-day regional logistics and transportation operations.
    • Manage and coach local managers and operational teams across multiple locations.
    • Develop and implement operational strategies, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and cost management.
    • Establish and monitor KPIs, performance goals, service levels, and operational standards.
    • Lead employee training, engagement, recognition, and development initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, HR, transportation, and regulatory requirements.
    • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic operational initiatives.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve performance and efficiency.
    • Maintain strong customer service and stakeholder relationships.

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
    • 10 years of logistics/transportation operations experience, including complex transportation networks.
    • 5–7 years of management experience, preferably across multiple locations.
    • Strong knowledge of logistics, transportation, route optimization, and operational processes.
    • Experience managing strategic projects, budgets, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of WHMIS, TDG, and applicable transportation safety regulations.
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
    • TDG certification required.
    • Experience with critical or time-sensitive delivery operations is an asset.

    Technical Skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
    • Experience with logistics, routing, or transportation management systems.
    • Ability to perform cost analysis, budget monitoring, forecasting, and KPI reporting.

    Working Conditions
    • Primarily office and operational environments.
    • Occasional travel may be required for meetings, site visits, training, or collaboration.
